It's funny...

How people try to hide obvious things from others.

I know... I know that someone I'm talking to is probably not REALLY REALLY interested in me *like that*... he's a good friend and I'm okay with that situation... I entirely see the possibility that a spark may hit there in time... I think right now he's very focused on trying to find someone the complete opposite of his ex-fiancee... and so, I wasn't surprised to see he'd added someone on FB that had no other common friends with him. I also found it interesting that the friendship dissolved today and he's been really bummed... which to me indicates he had intentions to date her. Is he stringing me along? No... he's been very upfront that he just wants to be friends... and trust me, I've been in the situation where I'm the rebound... I'd rather him date someone else, discover it's not that great, and then there I am for things to maybe work out then.

I guess I'm debating when someone will be there in the right moment of time... and love me for me... ever? Is it EVER going to happen? Cause I want kids... and I'm about to turn 29... and I don't want to be starting a family at 36+... UGH! I'm frustrated! I just want to find a good guy that doesn't care that I'm pudgy. lol

Alternate Life

That's right... I have an alternate life... an alter ego, if you will. :) On World of Warcraft haha One of my friends plays a lot, and he suggested I try it out. So, lo and behold, they are offering a 10 day free trial. Which clearly means, after 10 days I will add the full version and play, because I played yesterday and I'm addicted!!!!!! I blame my friend!

Other than that I went out last night with my little bro (cousin Craig) to see him while he's in town before he heads back to St. Louis, MO for seminary. I can't believe he's been in seminary a year! Time sure does fly! But this is a good thing, because it means he's going to finish faster than I realize, and hopefully move back to TX to preach. That'd be nice. I hope he marries the girl he met there and is dating. She's fantastic. She joined us last night, and I already love her like a sis!

I can't wait for tomorrow!!! I'm taking Dustin to see Toy Story 3, and while I think I would've rather seen the Shrek movie, he is COMPLETELY excited that he and I are going to go hang out together and have fun and it's TOO CUTE! I'm ready to buy him some Sour Patch Kids and popcorn and have a fantastic little adventure.

I also really need to go up to the school so that I can check out my *new* room and move some things over. If I were smart I'd go both tomorrow AND Thursday... but UGH... that requires waking up early and going to the school around 9am... that's early for me as of late.

Ah well... that's life! But I AM excited to make my curtains for my WINDOW in my classroom... and also to make the little pouches for at student desks! WOOHOO!

I'm smarter than I thought...

I figured out how to sew something using my mom's ancient sewing machine! :) HOORAY! I made a little curtain for the window on my classroom door. When we have lockdown drills or a lockdown, we have to cover that window so you can't see into the room. :) I made a little curtain that can be rolled up and tied in that position until it's needed (like this but for a smaller window and with cuter fabric). I also bought fabric for all my bulletin boards (fun, bright, solid colors!) and I plan on making curtains out of the left over polka dot fabric. :)

I'm VERY excited for the upcoming school year! Now for some relaxation this evening... tomorrow I'll be going to the water park in the afternoon... can't wait.

Summer is in full swing!

Well, it's summer now! I'm enjoying my vacation... although I may be going to the school tomorrow morn to move some things from my newly acquired room, to the OTHER new room I've acquired. lol Yes, that's right... I'm being moved again. But I'm fairly certain I'll have a window in this room, so I'm okay with the move! lol

Last week I went to Port Aransas, TX with my family for a family vacation. We were there 7 days and it was FANTABULOUS! :) Just not long enough. However, I'm glad to be back home... and even though I have like 4 loads of laundry to do, I'm glad I can relax at home. This morning I went to the grocery store not really intending to grab a lot of stuff, but I ended up buying a lot of "summer food" such as frozen pizza, taquitos, and other scrumptious items. I've been sleeping in til at least 8:30 every day (which is GREAT) and I'm looking forward to hitting up Splashtown and Fiesta Texas a lot this summer. I am determined to not be as pale-legged as in the past after this summer passes! haha

Things this month I'm looking forward to: Moving AGAIN! Making curtains for my classroom to cover various areas in there (shelves and such), making book cases with my dad for in my classroom, painting/decorating those book cases, possibly making some storage things for the kids in my class, going to the teacher stores and buying some pocket charts and stuff for the class!

I MADE IT!!!

WOOP! WOOP! I made it to the end of the school year without having a heart attack, or a seizure from all the stress! lol Half day with the kiddos today... full teacher work day tomorrow. :) Then a (much needed!) pedicure... probably some dinner... probably going to see Sex and the City 2... and then packing to leave on Sunday for Port Aransas, TX! :-) WOOHOO!

The End is Nigh....

:) I think the title says it all! I'll be sad to see some of my kids go out the door on Friday... others... meh. ;) I think that's how it normally is, though. I'm ready for this year to be over and start fresh and new next year. I'll be teaching 3rd grade... the stressful part of this is, I have to move an entire classroom of stuff over by Saturday afternoon... but hopefully it won't be too bad! I got a LOT done yesterday. I'm hoping that if I tackle a little each day (today, and tomorrow after school before Friday at 1) then I will be able to get it mostly taken care of now. Then all I'll have to do is move it over... and thank GOODNESS I have a rolling chair... so I can just stack up a couple boxes and roll them on over. That's the fortunate thing about me just being one hallway over from where I am!

Anyhow... off I go to finish up my biscuit breakfast and head out the door. It's a fairly unstructured day today. Sort of. The kids are going to work on "inventing" something later. This morning I'm going to have them working on a word game using Scrabble tiles in teams. I also have a word search for them this morning. Tomorrow is read-a-thon and class party... and Friday will be a FAST day... they're only there for 3 hours... but part of that time is spent getting/eating lunch.
